rosdep: fails to install deps (ros ticket #1593) about rosdep HOT 2 CLOSED

[mquigley] Hmm... it looks like rosdep is doing what it should (i.e, generate an apt-get command), but the problem is rather on the machine itself that you're trying to use. I would suspect that a python install via "easy_install" or something similar is now conflicting with the python packages that apt/dpkg are trying to install, and since apt/dpkg are good citizens, they are unwilling to blow away files that they didn't install.

These lines in particular make me think that:

[mwise] okay... it looks like python-tz wasn't configured right i removed it and reinstalled and everything worked
