release roslibjs on npm about roslibjs HOT 7 CLOSED

I'd like to see #126 fixed before the release

from roslibjs.

I am getting this problem with -g flag

@megawac I have released initial version. I will update npm module once #126 get fixed again.

npm version 0.9.0 Testing.

local installation

npm install roslib

works fine.

global installation

sudo npm install -g roslib

It seems like preinstall process causing problems.

• asking sudo for nobody
• node-canvas installation using curl command.

Any reason to install globally?

Um.. for my usecase, i would develop a multiple node packages which depend on roslibjs. So it would be nice to have just one copy in my system rather than same code multiple places.

Also I think installing in global or local is user's choice. There may be some reasons to install them in global.

Well anyway I am just recording the symptoms for the record. It is not the thing we have fix immediately.
