I fixed this by downloading rust, the visual studio extension therefore. I had to comment out line 1 of drs-player\lib.rs because it won't compile to a release version. Getting it to work with srs server 1.6 was a matter of changing the version in the same file on line 229 and then again on line 253. I then navigated to the folder and compiled following the instructions and all works. Here is my new .exe file, but cannot swear it will work as I compiled it on my machine.
