I tested this exercise in a new and fresh OpenShift cluster and it is working as expected.
@fc7 🤔 It seems that the cluster you are working on is not in the best situation. It could be a side effect of the stability issues during the week. I am not sure if we can find the root cause of this issue at this point. I agree with @eformat to close the issue for now and let's see if it is reproducible in the future.

OK.. i have created an RHPDS TL500 cluster OK (so new cluster, new TL500 tooling)
Kibana logging working ok for me i.e. i could not reproduce this.
Please feel free to reopen if you can debug more in your environment.
