Google Maps API key about tileboard HOT 9 CLOSED

You can use Yandex map for now, Google Maps are weird, sometimes they work just fine, sometimes they start throwing 403 errors.

and additional http get parameter is needed for the API key.

yes, but this should be an easy fix for those wanting google (for more detailed landmark info).
Just need somewhere to store an API key, and the url changed accordingly.

The API key started to be mandatory on June 11.
That's so they can start charging after 25,000 maps per day.
Not likely that most users would ever reach the free limit, but everyone that wants to use maps will need to create an API key.

You can always put a link to this URL in the documentation so people know how to get an API key.
