Are there any errors in the apache logs?

RainLoop avatar RainLoop commented on May 20, 2024

You can confirm that the problem still present?

Sorry, at the moment I am having issue's with my Internet Connection to be able to test things.
When I get home I'll make sure error reporting is enabled in php.ini, and check the Apache Logs for issue's.

Any news?
I don't like open tasks :)

avatar commented on May 20, 2024

None so far sorry. There's no point in me trying anymore until I have my Internet fixed. Sorry.

I'll close the task for now, and either reopen later, or make a new one.

Just wanted to say that it works fine on my server, using the server's local postfix/dovecot, so it's technically possible. However I used the FQDN in the settings and not 127.0.0.1.

127.0.0.1 - - [03/Dec/2013:16:49:37 +1100] "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1" 500 208 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0"

Is what is produced in the error log, using http://localhost/rainloop/

It looks like access.log file

from rainloop-webmail.

avatar commented on May 20, 2024

it's from /var/log/apache2/access.log

What is the filename of the log file required, as using locate to search for apache.log or apache2.log returns nothing.

[Wed Dec 04 11:02:28.431956 2013] [core:error] [pid 1272] [client 127.0.0.1:49802] AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace.

From the /var/log/apache2/error.log

Here is difficult to understand what it is, without access to the server. Maybe you have the wrong apache mod-rewrite configuration

from rainloop-webmail.

avatar commented on May 20, 2024

Don't know, I did discover that RL works on a local Win7/WAMP setup that I also use for away from home development, and that has the same Apache mod-rewrite settings, otherwise my own stuff wouldn't work.

Just fixed the issue, it turned out an .htaccess file I'd dropped into the /var/www folder as backup was causing the issue. It's all good now, and possibly points to a solution with others with the same issue.
