This is a Vagrant box, to log in just issue
vagrant ssh
with the box running. You'll get a shell without the need to enter a password.
That is explained in the README of the project.

Hey @ogsalazar! What operating system are you using? I've only gotten Vagrant to work in Windows through Cygwin with both openssh & rsync (for shared folders) installed
from rails-dev-box.
Hi!
I´m using Windows, but I just solved the issue, the user and password are the same, "vagrant"
Best regards!
Gustavo.

I'm on Windows and like to use Putty to ssh in. The Git Bash terminal window is lacking. To do this you need to generate a Putty-compatible key from the RSA key that gets pre-made with rails-dev-box:
- run puttygen.exe and select Conversions -> Import
- Import the pre-made key at
c:/users/<username>/.vagrant.d/insecure_private_key
- click 'save private key' and save as
vagrant.ppk
in the same directory
Now you can run Putty using your new private key file vagrant.ppk
to login to the box
from rails-dev-box.
Hi Rich!
Thanks for your reply, I will try to do this and then inform you on how the tests were
Regards Gustavo.

to my database.yml
from rails-dev-box.
@lastk was there something missing the the docs?
from rails-dev-box.
@muescha would be good to have a clue of these passwords, for people not familiar with puppet :)
from rails-dev-box.
Why do you guys need a password?
from rails-dev-box.
seens like I dont needed it, but I didnt know it lol
from rails-dev-box.
Maybe you already know it, but take into account that this box is thought only for Rails core development. It is designed to write PRs and have an environment in which to run Rails tests suites.
In principle I am going to close the issue since you can do all that without passwords the way things are defined. If there's anything else missing please reopen.
