@jwoehr I saw the announcement a couple a months back. Still, it doesn't solve the issue I mention. The point is not to send new jobs; the point is to have accessibility to specific device layouts such as transpilation.

@adrianor do you know about the fake provider and the fake devices available here? I believe this is what you're looking for?

Sorry for the late reply. It's almost; I'm trying out the fake providers but found out that the transpilation procedure is not quite the same as in the original device (which is the feature I am interested most). Perhaps this is a bug then in the fake module?

@adrianor could you elaborate on what fake backends have you tried and what part of the transpilation is not the same? This would be useful feedback for future improvements.

It's also possible to retrieve the backend properties of the backend at the time the job was run with backend.run().
