Then I have no ideas off the top of my head I will now have to look at how the code is but I think if anything it may be a permissions error so what permissions plugin are you using?

Based on the code it should still see you as staff as the plugin uses UUIDs

Download the latest version of PermissionsEX. There were a few issues with older versions checking for UUIDs.

PermissionEX is better than GroupManeger this works without PEX or GroupMGR with Op. if op bugs its Mojang's issue or spigot's (or your system's provider!)
