I can definitely take a look at this around December 23rd, thanks for bringing this to our attention. 👍

A friend of mine tried to clone the repo using MacOS 10.13.2
and git 2.11.0 with the folowing outcome: https://gist.github.com/con-/c031049572531f5a2f59547177f0478b

So i think we need more details or it might be a configuration on your machine :)

Well we had this on 2 separate computers here so it's probably not my machine, but could be my company's machines :-/

I am really not sure what more details i can give... but if nobody else can reproduce this, i'll assume we have a weird in house problem

I agree with you that this is a weird issue.

Somehow we need some more info. One way to get more is using verbose cloning over https to see if some packages are not sent.

GIT_CURL_VERBOSE=1 git clone https://github.com/python-security/pyt.git

Is it possible for you to try on a private network, not your companies?
Is it possible to try it on a mac not from your company? (We kind of confirmed that already worked earlier so idk how necessary this is..)

I am just putting some thoughts out there so we can find a solution :)

Can try to clone into another folder than the /tmp folder? Would seem weird if that is the error but just to rule that option out :)

Hi, @lindycoder hope all is well, are you still experiencing this issue?

lindycoder avatar lindycoder commented on May 22, 2024

Hey, sorry i forgot about this....

I've got a brand new Mac running 10.12.6 and the issue is still happening.

I tried different shells : iTerm2 vs. Terminal vs. Intellij's built in Terminal, all same

I tried outside my company's network, stil the same.

for @Thalmann , only my example was in /tmp the problem is present in other folders.

So frankly it must be my company's management tool or the way the disk is encrypted (i remember i had to enter a password for the disk encryption).

So there, since nobody else seems to have come to whine about it it must be our problem, i guess we can close this.

Thanks for looking into it!
