PathMe hasn't been updated since PyBEL 13 (early 2019). @ddomingof is the maintainer of this software and has asked me for help, but I haven't got around to it (there are so many other things on the backlog for the BEL ecosystem, and I've been focusing on the PyKEEN machine learning package in the last month or so)
Luckily, the PyBEL 15 compatibility pull request is finished and waiting for merge at sorgerlab/indra#1160 and will hopefully be part of the INDRA 1.19 release. This might solve your issue, so I'll give Ben a bump there.
Worst case scenario, I could hack together a PyBEL 13 nodelink JSON importer for the current release of PyBEL (15)
