Also any plans on extending the functionality to windows phone? I have been
trying to find some info on achieving the same functionality on wp8 but
haven't been able to do so till now.

@vinaybr I would love to extend this plugin to support WP, but unfortunately I don't own a Windows phone at the moment. If a company sponsors this plugin and provides a device, I will defiantly add the support. Otherwise, someone else might fork this repository and implement WP support. In that case I will gladly merge everything back in.

For now I am using window.open with the server URL of the doc on windows
phone. For iOS and android I download the file using file transfer for
offline access and open it using your plugin.

I will try and create a plugin for WP8 if and when I find time and share
the source with you. Thanks for answering my queries.
