For tasks that support "noop" you should already be able to do this.

@jdub55 To expand on what Alex said a bit, having a 'noop' mode for tasks depends largely on the task itself supporting a noop mode. It sounds like what you want is more logging, which you can get using --debug
(or --verbose
) which includes information such as where the script was uploaded and if the connection was successful (see example output below). You could easily have your own dummy task to run to get that information, then run the 'real' task. Does that satisfy your use case? Are there other features you need? Should we document noop tasks better, or have a blog post about a workflow for this?
