uhm... 🤦
just 5 minutes after posting this I realized it's just a js object, so I can use Object.keys to generate these lowercase versions.

Since I already opened this, instead of deleting this issue I will post my solution instead:

const overrides = {
    Spacer: { component: Spacer },
}

const MarkDownOptions = {
    wrapper: "article",
    disableParsingRawHTML: true,
    slugify: (str) => `slug_${str}`,
    overrides: Object.keys(overrides).reduce((acc, key) => {
      const lowerKey = key.toLowerCase()
      acc[key] = overrides[key] // Original key
      acc[lowerKey] = overrides[key] // Lowercase key
      return acc
    }, {}),
}

from markdown-to-jsx.
