Run a lua script from the users Documents directory? about wax HOT 4 CLOSED

I kind of have a solution to that. If you run your app from the command line (with rake run) you can press control-\ and it will copy only the script over and restart the simulator. So you get around the rebuilding issue.

The other thing you can do is look at the wax/build-scripts/copy_scripts.sh file. This is where it places your lua scripts into the app. Instead of copying them over, you could symlink them. I think that would work on the simulator at least, but you still need to manually restart the app somehow.

hey there... i tried it last night and basically the best solution I could find was me manually running a script after a build to symlink a local data directory (e.g. /Users/brad/data) to the data directory in the simulator directory for my app.... seems to work fine, and it's not that big a deal, since I'm trying to avoid doing builds.... Thanks!
