UPDATE: Rolling back to [email protected] with apm install [email protected], as suggested, resolved this issue.
However, I would like to be up to date with all of my packages. So, if a sollution would be provided for versions >0.54.0, I would be really gratefull!

Your prettier version is outdated (2.0.5). in order to use the latest version of prettier-atom, make sure to update it.

At the time of intalling and setup version 2.0.5 was the latest version.
Tested with the reproduce steps: with prettier version 2.1.1 and atom prettier 0.60.1 formatting works without throwing an error! 👍
