You seem to have an older version of jsctags installed. The -f option was introduced on 2011-01-06, so you would have to install something newer than that. This option is needed to make jsctags output the information on stdout (or any other file that is not tags in the current directory).

Hm.. last commit here https://github.com/evilpie/jsctags was at Sep 2010... where is the newest version?
