If you want to use unsupported PostgreSQL binaries taken from application bundles before v2.7, you need to disable the Permission Dialogs in Postgres.app settings, see here:
- Open Postgres.app
- Choose “Settings” from the “Postgres” menu
- Uncheck the box labelled “Ask for permission when apps connect without password”
- Stop running PostgreSQL servers and start them again
Now you should be able to start servers that lack the auth_permission_dialog
extension.
