Option --watch
is usefule for scripts, which compile files from one fir to another (like compass
). But Autoprefixer by default rewrite current CSS file. So when you open app.css
, edit it, press Cmd+S, file will be overriden and you text cursor will move to begining of the file.
I think, that we need some of output dir parameter for binary. Like: autoprefixer --watch --from css/ --to compiled/
from autoprefixer.
By the way, become frontend, write CSS inside a project and process Sass, Autoprefixer on deploy :).

I use CSS preprocessor and I don't edit CSS directly.

So, what i your user case, maybe --watch
is not a only way to solve your problem.

Yes, not only way, but it will be best way to extend my workaround. Now I depend on LiveReload's ability to run custom command after every compilation.
