There is no interaction between MinimOsd and Mission or APM Planner. I can help
if you tell me how you power your APM and connection between APM and MinimOSD.
Do you have 3DR Telemetery?

I am powered the apm by the current sensor that came in the set. I am using
telemetry radios and use the cable that came with the kit as well.

It is plugged into the telemetry port on the flight controller and then y's off
to the telemetry radio and osd. The osd is only connected with 3 cables, power,
ground, and rx.

tried a bunch of stuff again tonight. if I arm the copter without the
telemetry radios hooked up...

-no gps coordinates

-no battery information

-no osd pannel switching via my channel 8

-no indication of number of satilites locked

-system warning messages of no GPS fix and battery low

The artificial horizon works as does the rssi, tilt degrees, and heading.

Just can't seem to figure out why some data displays but not all!

Did you enable OSD from Mission Planner?

I think you should also connect the Tx wire between APM and minimOSD when
telemetry is not connected. The 3-wire connection between minimOSD and APM is a
"slave" connection in which the Tx is sent to the APM from the telemetry radio,
when telemetry is connected.

Do you mean the TX on the OSD and then connect that to the APM? So all 4
wires will be hooked up?

I am using Bluetooth telemetry, and connected MinimOsd to UART0 header.
Everything works fine, maybe this will help with your situation.
