+1 for MPM worker.

We see better memory use and thus greater capacity. Not much information, but worker
is certainly recommended: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mpm.html . The
"stability" of prefork is a red herring once one avoids the unknown thread-safety of
mod_php, mod_python, etc by externalizing with FastCGI.
