Use yii-auth (or similar) instead of yii-rights about app HOT 4 CLOSED

Why can't you choose another auth-manager? Just require and configure another one.

I tried both extensions but wasn't really happy with them. What's the advantage?

yii-auth doesn't care what authManager you are using, and will work with your custom one. yii-rights require RDbAuthManager to function. The custom functionality should be implemented as a behavior and not require one to extend from the class itself. That is how yii-auth has it solved.
