1) How do you set up such aliases?
2) Why do you prefer them instead of class names?
3) How does PHPStan output look like? Does it show as internal error or not?

- Setup:
$entityManagerConfig = $entityManager->getConfiguration();
$entityManagerConfig->addEntityNamespace('Entity', 'App\\Entity');-
It is an legacy project that uses the alias form and it is not possible to change to the class namespasce. In Symfony it is a fairly used feature: https://symfony.com/doc/current/reference/configuration/doctrine.html - search alias

Standard output error (not internal): Call to method setPassword() on an unknown class Entity:User.
$user = $entityManager->getRepository('Entity:User')
->findOneBy(['email' => $email]);
$user->setPassword($password);It is not possible to reproduce at https://phpstan.org/ - At least I do not see how using Doctrine

Entity namespace aliases are removed in Doctrine ORM 3.0.
