@fd6130 ds should be compatible with PHP 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 and 8.0, but not with PHP 8.1

Hi, i'm new to this library. Is this library compatible with php 8?

@rtheunissen Could you look into this please? I checked all the extensions in my dev stack and all the PHP 8.1 incompatibilities I previously encountered in them are already fixed. This is the last extension preventing me from trying 8.1 on my project.
