fyi - I implemented this in https://github.com/erbbysam/webRTCCopy / https://rtccopy.com . It works (and it's cool you don't need to have separate code for FF), but I'm not terribly happy with the Firefox performance of this compared to just storing the data in the browser. Also, there is no way to request a file link so you wind up loading the full file back into memory anyways to give it to the user (ie. https://github.com/erbbysam/webRTCCopy/blob/master/client/js/file-io.js#L113 & https://github.com/erbbysam/webRTCCopy/blob/master/client/js/file-io.js#L499 ). This problem also created this bug - ebidel/idb.filesystem.js#5

Firefox really needs a way to create user accessible links into the FileHandle API.
