The Looking Glass says:
Failed to evaluate main function:Error: Unable to construct boxed type glibtop_cpu since it has zero-args < constructor >, can only wrap existing one.
I guess that's it.

you need to install gobject-introspection from gnome-unstable to make gtop js binding work.
p.s. gnome-unstable crash my gnome-shell.
p.p.s I think @paradoxxxzero himself is maintaining the aur package, altough he didn't update it ofter (new dependency etc.)

Yes sorry, I'm moving this extension towards gnome 3.2 the master branch is going to be a mess until everything works fine in gnome 3.2.
I made a gnome-3.0 branch which should work for you.
I will make a gnome 3.0 package for aur...
