It's not the miner app. It's your phone that restricts the miner to run in the background. Try to change the settings. Usually, when you mine, you just let the miner app open. Running it with other resource intensive apps and constantly changing it will very likely get killed by the OS.

Please use foreground service instead of background service like used in a music player app with start stop panel notification.

That's a different thing. Background service is enabled by default in the miner.

In the initial run, the mining app will ask to enable the background service, you have to enable it. Regardless, if you run other apps, it will get killed. Mining phones are only used for mining. It shouldn't be used for other things. Don't expect to mine then do other things while mining. VerusMiner is not used that way.

I you use foreground service then screen can be turned off while mining also the Android OS will not kill the app. Your App will become more popular because anybody can allocate 50 percent of CPU even with daily usage and mine coin. So everybody can use your app in their daily phones which are more powerful ones instead of dedicated phone requirement for mining. (I am an Android developer by profession)

That's good to hear. Thanks for the advice. Using one phone to mine won't make it though if you want to earn. Miners usually don't use the phone to do other things. Ideally mining phones should be used for mining only and removing other unnecessary services and apps is advisable to maximize your phone resources.
