I believe you want to use @cli.command
rather than @cli.group
.

That was a mistake in my typing. Whether I change it to 'command' or 'group', the object cli
doesn't pick up those attributes.

Ah, the problem is that you've used @click.group
to decorate cli
rather than @click.group()
. The parentheses are required for both group
and command
.
