My guess is that now that bakery's rewritten to run off boto, and we're using file mimetypes instead of a regex based on a file extension, that this should fix the issue.
Or at the very least, we'll have more detailed logs of what's happening.

FWIW, I ran into the same issue after adding BAKERY_GZIP = True
to my deploy. So perhaps check there to see what's going on.

Can you try using the gzip branch and see if that helps?

@aboutaaron The new release of bakery now uses boto instead of s3cmd, where we suspect this bug was somewhere hidden. While you still have the subdirectory issues we talked about before (That is #26), we're hoping the fix to these mysteries comes with the boto change.

@palewire @emamd I'm still getting garbled output but I think it's because I wrote a different publish routine to account for folders within the s3 bucket. I'm assuming it's because I'm not setting the mimetype correctly.
