well. atm adblock just blocks the http request for the filtered items.
if adblock should remove the link in the document (like the adBlock for ff) it 
would
have to parse all sites going throught. that would drain the battery as hell :(

couldn't you deliver empty (transparent) gifs or pngs if a picture is requested 
from a blocked url without parsing and changing whole sites?

I agree with Gregor. You basically have a choice:
1. replace with 1x1px graphics
2. download the target first, check its size and replace with same-size 
transparent graphics

Could be an option in the settings...

I don't think you'd want to download the target first, even as an option... 
That would defeat half of the purpose of the app, which is to save time and 
bandwidth by stopping the ads before they're pulled from the server.

Or does this app work more like Google Chrome's version of Adblock, in which 
the ads are still downloaded, but not displayed?
