I'm glad you like the plugin.
I just released a version, which includes this feature. You can also turn on and off the toggle button from the settings

This is amazing, thank you!

It works fine for me, as I will only now toggle via the new button.

However, testing it on an iPad, it seems that the new toggle button and the old one in Settings are not connected… I was assuming that toggling either one would update the other one to be in the same state.

Also, for me, I don’t think that toggling the old button in Settings is now changing the file list…

Were these intentional?

I actually left it out intentionally to not cause leaf refresh. React can not observe the plugin settings change and only option is here to refresh the leaf and render the component from scratch again. In the new release it should work.

Thank you.

It seems now that when I change the toggle in settings, the panel listing files disappears.

However, I think that most people will now use the new toggle anyway, and that still works, so I think I’ll stop testing…

Huge thanks for this new feature, it’s a real time-saver….

It seems now that when I change the toggle in settings, the panel listing files disappears.

As I mentioned, it is totally normal behaviour. To be able to make the changes effective, the leafs need to be refreshed. It will also trigger refreshing plugin states, which means there is no active folder anymore.

Maybe I can think of implementing consistent active folder in the future to ensure it remembers the folder during the next launch.

Sorry, I didn't understand what you meant by that.

I would suggest not spending any more time on the settings side of things, as I think the feature is much more accessible in the new location, and when people see it there, they are unlikely to go back to the old settings option...

The version I just released adds a feature to remember the last active folder you had. It also solves the issue you mentioned above:

It seems now that when I change the toggle in settings, the panel listing files disappears.
