The steps to reduce support cases with this issue already taken:
- Our sells and pre sales staff was informed.
- The ownCloud appliance edition page gets a warning about not having univention support included.
The last and important step in my view would be an additional warning for the end user during the installation.

I'd like to prefer a solution that would not require changes in UCS. The warnings you talk about would require such changes.
Can we please have a meeting with the relevant stakeholders to make a decision on this?
