I think it is the "-" in the alias which causes this error 500.

I can not reproduce this issue as well.
As I've asked in #84 , can you provide me with a dump?

Closing this issue as this issue only occurs when you:
- migrate your data
- completely delete your data
- try to insert corrupt data from an old installation (Contao 4.9) that used StyleManager 2.x.
Correct way to handle this:
- Install version 2.x
- Import your old data
- Install version 3
- Let the migration happen
