I think we should leave it as it is right now. The IPCC probably did it to have the same colour for models built from similar components.

I didn't mean different models - I'm referring to, for example, E3SM-1-0, E3SM-1-1-ECA and E3SM-1-1, all having the same color. We could substitute those three entries to simply E3SM.

I would keep it as is. Let's follow the IPCC. Maybe there is another model that contains E3SM but shouldn't be included in the group ( eg. the CMIP5 version maybe)
