This is from your mainnet installation docs at https://docs.origintrail.io/en/latest/node-setup.html#manual-node-installation
Doesn't say anything about release/mariner. But of course, it's my fault too.
My initial impression of you guys were correct. You're reckless bunch of people who doesn't care about user funds and time. And making cheap excuses to escape from your responsibilities.

I do not think the team owes you an reimbursement for sending it to an ERC725 identity. It should be pretty clear that these identities are not your wallet address. That was simply user error. I am sorry to hear that unfortunately.

I'm just a user from the Discord group but I personally feel like all operations involving moving ETH between wallets should not exist in the node profile management website.
There are multiple cases reported of people losing ETH due to different problems with the feature - both code issues and user error (reported on other GitHub issues here and on Discord).
Leave the moving of ETH to peoples main wallet interfaces where they are more familiar with the process.

I get your argument. It should be pretty clear for an experienced user. But I'm a noob. And this was my first time dealing with an ERC-725 identity. I got it from my ot-node. And it was already there in the text field. The section read Deposit ETH to your Operational Wallet. Why would I think it would do anything else?
I agree that my lack of knowledge about these things contributed to this issue. But I was misled by the text on that section. If there was "Put in your Operational Wallet address below" or something similar. This wouldn't have happened. So I refuse to take full responsibility.

Hi @tjosm,
I'm sorry to hear all that. @bottomshorter already explained most of it and I can only add that the user is always responsible for committing own transactions and you should be always cautious and triple check everything before hitting the 'accept' button in MetaMask in this case.
As for the version update you should be aware that master branch is following the Testnet updates and the release/mariner is following the Mainnet updates. Again, be very cautious as we only fully support the update for dockered versions.
