Thomas, you need to say more :) If I understand correctly the grid is defined wtih DX, DY and DZ, not the usual COORD and ZCORN. And the resulting Eclipse simulation then show up as a regular grid with only one layer. Hence, this bug is probably triggered by the simplified grid definition used for regular grids, and may be related to Ert. I believe you can also provide Eclipse binary and input files for this case so that the developers can reproduce it quickly?

I defined a simple regular grid with 5 layers in Z-direction a total of 250 active cells. However, the Z-layers are merged into one layer. The number of active cells is correct.

The issue can easily be reproduced by a simple 5 10 5 block grid and tutorial parameters. Shouldn't need to run a simulation.

At least the ert part of the story is based on an EGRID file, I.e. a
simulation is required.

I believe this was an Eclipse simulation, so the EGRID file should be available from Thomas, but he is leaving on vacation tomorrow...

I have tested the case from Thomas. This behavoir was due to all cell TOPS were set equal in the Eclipse simulation, hense all cells in k-direction were overlapping.
