We couldn't reproduce the instant crash neither in Windows nor OS X in our environment.
In the video, the first drawing seems to disappear before the software crashes. Did you undo the drawing operation? If yes, please advice if it is necessary operation in order to reproduce the problem.
BTW I found another minor bug from your video: When selecting some brush preset, the preset combo box immediately turn to "custom". This behavior was not what we expected and I included the fix in the following pull request.

I'm running the latest nightly of which I'm unable to reproduce the preset crash this time. Well done noticing that other preset bug!
