Wasn't able to reproduce this locally on latest master. @davidmooreppf, let me know if you see this again and what the circumstances are when it occurs. Particularly what you entered for the user.
The update of the code on staging might have been enough to fix it, but will hold off on closing this until we have successful questions showing on staging.

I'm also not able to reproduce it on the staging site now. Closing. Reopen with more details if it recurs.
