I would recommend you have a look at the Opendigitalradio guide.
On page 8, you have an example of a mux broadcasting 2 programs: one in dab and one in dab+.

But in a nutshell:

1. you must use the option --dab when invoking odr-audioenc
2. inside the mux configuration file, you must replace type dabplus with type audio in the sub-channel tobe used with the dab program
