Hi @jacobbieker, I may have misunderstood (I haven't read through the commit in detail) but I wonder if we should keep this issue open? Sorry, I should've given a more detailed description.. the idea is to gradually down-sample the imagery the further out from the center (a little bit like the way human's have sharp vision in the center of our visual field, but lower-res vision in the periphery). Is that implemented in commit 8781b40?

(I'll re-open for now, just so we don't forget about this in 2022, but please do close it if this is implemented in commit 8781b40!)
