@MHaton If this started happening on May 1, it is likely due to the MathJax CDN deprecation, which is causing JavaScript errors that break Open edX courseware. You'll need to patch your Open edX instances or upgrade to Ficus.3.
Otherwise:
- Note that newer versions of Problem Builder are known to be incompatible with older versions of edX - you can see the details in the "Open edX Installation" section of the README.
- We generally only provide free community support for the latest versions of Problem Builder and Open edX. I followed your steps on the edX.org staging site but was unable to reproduce the issue, which means the latest versions are probably unaffected.
