Could you clarify how the "test-package" import works about meteorite HOT 3 CLOSED

I believe what you are looking for is a local import? Try setting the smart.json to something like

{
  "packages": {
     "my-package": {"path": "../lib/"}
  }
}

Take a look at atmosphere for an example of exactly this.

awesome, we just sorted out making "path"s work right. really powerful for app specific packages or (your use case) a demo app for your package.
