I believe the issue is in "include_desktop.xml" in the Process Access folder.
I cant test excluding it at the moment though as I am having the 0 Kb size merged output file issue.

thanks for the quick response @canadianmuppet i have reverted to the 10.4 version for now but will also keep working on it

For what it is worth, I managed to run the merge properly, excluded "include_desktop.xml" and on my system sysmon 11.10 accepted the config file. I am not sure what detection logic that might break by not including those entries, so ymmv.

Thanks for pointing this out!
The process access, include_desktop has a wrong filter. I added the wrong
untested file, apologies for that.
Iām currently not in the position to address this but will do so later.
