Hi @MartinM85,

No, the parameter needs to be a boolean or a Range with a boolean value. Everything in the Functions class works like the Excel calculation engine. Entering =IF("2>1", TRUE, FALSE) in Excel evaluates to #VALUE!.

For what it's worth, here's what the add-ins code would look like.

  await Excel.run(async (context) => {
    const sheet = context.workbook.worksheets.getActiveWorksheet();
    const x = context.workbook.functions.if(
      context.workbook.functions.if(2 > 0, true, false),
      "Yes",
      "No"
    );
    x.load("value");
    await context.sync();
    console.log(x);

    const cell = sheet.getCell(0, 0);
    cell.values = [[x.value]];
    await context.sync();
  });

I'm going to close this issue, but please let me know if you have further questions.

Hi @AlexJerabek,

Thank you for the answer and the example.

What I know, the Graph API have endpoints which can invoke functions in the Excel files stored in OneDrive. Maybe if there is some person who is developing those endpoints I would have further questions related to invoking functions through the Graph API, because there is a lack of documentation.

The MS Graph API docs are hosted in this GitHub repo. There, you could create issues for any API with insufficient documentation. Stack Overflow is also a great place to ask how-to questions.
