Windows Update: (KB5019509) disables fuctionality about nzbget HOT 6 OPEN

Hi,
I was wondering what was going on since I just switched to Windows 11. I didn't have that issue on Windows 10.
It seems to be a right issue, with nzbget not being able to write in its own folder (C:\ProgramData\NZBGet).

The only workaround so far is to launch nzbget as an administrator, or to use nzbget as a windows service.

Nevermind, the write issue was due to launching nzbget as administrator and meddling around with console and rights. I ended up removing NZBGet program folder and starting over.

Anyway, as mentionned here, this is due to Terminal being favoured over Command Prompt.

You can fix this issue two ways, I am quoting:

1. 'Settings' --> 'Privacy & security' --> 'For Developers' --> 'Terminal'. Change from 'Let Windows Decide' to 'Windows Console Host'
2. Right-click your nzbget shortcut and select 'Properties'. In the 'Options' tab, select 'Use legacy console' and save.

Hi there, thx for your help. I would prefer the 2nd recommendation. But wonder what you mean by "Right-click your nzbget shortcut". You mean the nzbget.exe? Maybe it is too much to aks, but since I am a not very sophisticated "user" with two left hands and 10 thumbgs instead of regular fingers, maybe a screenshot could help me a lot ;-) Also my systemlanguage is german and I am not sure - since by right-clicking nzbget.exe and chosing its properties - there is no "Use legacy console" to be found ... nore something similar

No, I mean the shortcut created in the Start Menu.
It should be in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\NZBGet
Replace <username> by your own, otherwise the following path should bring you to it: %Appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\NZBGet
