Hi, this is a known issue. I'm currently not sure what is causing it.

I have a report on this - https://gist.github.com/946544 (example script + debug log). The script tries to send a bunch of messages simultanously (with for(...) ). The first messages are sent without problems but the latter ones generate timeout errors at first and then proceed sending with success (even though they should not continue after throwing an error).
I haven't been able to reproduce this behavior myself.

The new v0.3 branch uses connection pools and such errors should not occur anymore
