The main problem is private network. It's out of the boundary of nocalhost plugin.

However there are some approach you can try:

  1. Compile on your local machine. When in "dev mode" , the changed artifact file (say my-app.jar) can be synced to the dev container. After that ,you can run “java -jar my-app.jar” to start your service in dev container
  2. Try "Start ProxyMode" , it will set up a network tunnel to redirect you k8s traffic to THE service into your local machine. Compile and start your app on your local machine will make your app ready for service in k8s. If your service need to connect some middleware (say redis), you also need to "port-forward" them to your local machine and connect with it (localhost:6379). The configs you start your service need to be the same with k8s deployed service

from nocalhost.
