Snes9x RX has autoboot but not as-is. It still has a few issues with autobooting games on Snes9x RX, but @niuus is fixing those issues with autoboot for upcoming 5.0.0.

@meklubba

@niuus released a few minutes Snes9x RX 5.0.0, i will try the autoboot function if this is finally solved.

EDIT: Snes9x RX has finally a proper autoboot mode, please consider closing this issue.

There were never "issues", so don't spread false technical rumors. It wasn't implemented the way it is done now.

ALSO, you're not even talking about the same thing the OP is requesting as a feature.

Before 5.0.0 when in autoboot mode the button for exit the game instead of exiting the emulator ("Exit" button) it just returned to the emulator menu ("Main Menu" button).

Which was normal and intended. Not an "issue" to fix.

I don't think there is much sense in returning to yet another thing when inside an app. I mean, that's what a launcher is for. You always need to be able to return to the launcher, or just plain reset, which is something you could already do in the emulator Settings, since always.

On the other hand, autoboot has been implemented since a couple of years, yes.

Would it be possible to have a setting that autoboots a game and loads the latest save state?

See, I would want to power on my jailbroken wii and when it starts autoboot in to Snes9xRX (this is already done with priiloader). When Snes9xRX starts i want the game to load up and start at my latest save... By doing this i can start my wii and be in a game of choose within seconds no messing with menus.. Would be so cool.

Said feature was already there @meklubba, since always. Here's how you use it:

Before loading the game, enter "Settings - Saving & Loading"

Set "Auto Load" to "Snapshot" and "Auto Save" to "Snapshot" or "Both", that's up to your preference.

Enter the game and play. Whenever you go back to the emulator menu, it will ask you if you want to auto save a game snapshot. Press "Save". Next time you load the game, it will auto load said snapshot instantly.
