Hey, thanks for getting back to me. I've downloaded the latest package.
Weirdly, it seems to be behaving more strangely now. See the screenshot below:
It's now adding two blank lines and putting my cursor on the second one. Additionally it's not taking into account the type hinting properly (it's leaving the 'type' keyword) or omitting the curly braces as mentioned initially.
If I cmd+z to undo the docblock, it actually removes the extra line and adds the "[index description]" line instead of removing the docblock, as show below:
EDIT: I realised I uploaded the wrong image above! Correct now.
It's as if it's skipping ahead, and then I have to undo to get back to what it should actually be doing.

Cant reproduce the same. I am using version v0.5.7.

Aha! Turns out that Emmet is conflicting with it. I disabled it and restarted atom; it's now outputting the correct comment blocks. I guess I have to choose between the two 😦 I'll see if changing the shortcuts for emmet will help.
