Originally, I was thinking this could be displayed like tree
, but that might be too cluttered, and be difficult to track.
Focusing on STDOUT aesthetics is important for an application like this, but spending too much compute on it would detract from the UX. Here is what that would look like...
[username@hostname:~/git]
% gfold --recursive
.
├── foo clean dev [email protected]:username/foo.git
└── more-repos
└── bar clean dev [email protected]:username/bar.git
To me, that's a bit cluttered. Rather than displaying the recursive search like that, we could save on a lot of compute time by keeping it single-level instead. I think it would look better too. Here is what that would look like...
[username@hostname:~/git]
% gfold --recursive
Recursively searching for path: /home/username/git/
git/
foo1 clean dev [email protected]:username/foo1.git
git/more-repos-bar/
foo2 clean dev [email protected]:username/foo2.git
git/more-repos-bar/even-more-repos/
bar1 clean dev [email protected]:username/bar1.git
git/more-repos-foo/
bar2 clean dev [email protected]:username/bar2.git
